London-based fashion brand Wax London has unveiled its highly-favored AW23 collection. The “Driving Home for Christmas” collection is characterized by a rich color palette and a focus on outerwear – winter wear garments – including its new Quilted Overshirt. Aiming to blend everyday wear with the charm of country weekend escapes, Wax London has a diverse design palette in its AW23 collection, committing to sustainability and the vivid “Driving Home for Christmas:” collection.

Wax London originated in 2015 when three friends, Rich Singh, Tom Holmes, and Steffy Neceva, shared a dissatisfaction with the inability to dress well with some sense of affordability. The trio decided to create their own brand despite their diverse backgrounds, forming a friendship in London. The brand initially operated from Rich’s home for two years, utilizing any available space for design and stock, before eventually establishing the Wax London studio and showroom in Camden Town.

The AW23 collection introduces 100 designs in autumnal tones of browns, greens, blues, and burgundy. Its signature pieces include the Wax Whiting Overshirt, the sell-out Chester Coat, the Navarino trench coat, and three new coat silhouettes in various colors. The collection also features a variety of waist-length jackets, including the new Otto Overshirt and the return of the Iggy Jacket in Jacquard and Wool for colder days.

Tailoring options have expanded to meet customer demands, offering seasonal Chalk stripes and Blue Corduroy suits for a relaxed aesthetic. Trouser options include the Kurt Trousers in a new camel colorway and corduroy fabrics, demonstrating a commitment to Wax London’s versatile and stylish designs.

“What really excites me about this collection is how we’ve explored our best-known silhouettes in fabrics we haven’t worked with in those shapes before. It’s always really exciting to see garments brought to life in new ways,” says Tom Holmes, Wax Co-Founder and Managing Director.

Wax London introduces a winter-ready suit and coat combination with its Fintry Blazer and Trouser in Navy corduroy. The blazer is crafted from corduroy fabric, offering a relaxed fit with a notch lapel, two-button fastening, two front pockets, and a fully lined interior for consistent warmth. The blazer boasts soft shoulders and is made from 100% Cotton, ensuring comfort and versatility.

The ensemble is complete with matching Alp Trousers, providing a cohesive look for cold climate seasons. The Fintry Trouser features a straight fit, flat front, and subtle pockets, offering flexibility in styling. The corduroy fabric adds a touch of sophistication. When paired with the Fintry Blazer, the result is a cozy and coordinated winter outfit, polished and primed for the most sophisticated outings.

Adding an extra layer of warmth is the Sasso Coat in Black Wool. A new addition to the AW23 “Driving Home for Christmas” collection, this single-breasted coat is constructed from a black wool blend, ensuring a popular, relaxed fit. With a fully lined interior, internal pocket, and back vent, the Sasso Coat combines functionality with fashion.

The wool blend contributes to its warmth and durability, making it an ideal choice for the winter. Overall, the Wax London AW23 collection presents a curated selection of garments that blend timeless style with modern sensibilities, offering a sophisticated and winter-ready wardrobe.

Cozy knitwear is at the heart of the collection, with chunky jumpers, jackets, caps, and cardigans in various colors, responding to an understanding of the importance of staying warm during the colder months. Wax London also prioritizes sustainability in its AW23 collection, using organic cotton, Responsible Wool Standard Certified Wool, Corozo Nut Buttons, Recycled Cotton, Recycled Polyester, and Recycled Nylon.

The production process involves small batch pieces, family-run factories Wax London has collaborated with since its inception, and a British heritage factory for wool, Moons. This commitment aligns with the ethos of minimizing its environmental footprint while providing an economical option for cozy, luxury items.

The Wax London “Driving Home for Christmas” campaign captures the essence of urban adventures with three best friends navigating a spontaneous day and night in London. The outerwear promotes layering in signature pieces like the Whiting Overshirts, Greenland jacket, Sasso car coat, Santoni Coat, Chester Coat, and the reissued Navarino Mac coat.

The campaign reflects the Wax London philosophy that is not just about the destination. The journey captures the ethos of London, according to Wax London. Its AW23 collection draws inspiration from autumnal weekends away from the city, particularly in the English countryside. The Wax London AW23 collection is a testament to crafting stylish, sustainable, and versatile clothing. The fusion of classic silhouettes with new fabrics showcases the ability to create a collection that displays comfort and luxury for the winter.
