We Can’t Believe This THE ACOLYTE Death

TV

Star Wars: The Acolyte proved right away that it was a series that wasn't afraid to kill off its main characters. I since he dispatched Jedi Master Indara in his first episodethe War of the galaxies The series has not delivered death blows. But in episode four of the acolyte, we were truly shocked by the sudden death of a character. Beware, spoilers await in this article.

In episode four of Star Wars: The Acolyte, we couldn't expect to find Wookiee Jedi Master Kelnacca dead in his forest hideout. We knew, of course, that Mae was on the hunt for the Wookiee Jedi. He was one of the four Jedi stationed on Brendok during his childhood tragedy. Two of these Jedi have already died. As mentioned, Mae killed Master Indara, and she also killed Jedi Master Torbin in previous episodes. But at least we got to see the two Jedi fighting for their lives before it was over. (Even if Master Torbin did while in the deep trance of the Vow of Barash.)

However, Kelnacca, the first Wookiee Jedi to appear in live action War of the galaxies, he didn't get that chance. Instead, when Mae finds him on the planet Khofar, ready to become a Jedi, death has already visited the Wookiee Jedi. The mysterious and villainous Sith Lord, known to us only as the Master, came to Kelnacca first. We see two lightsaber carvings adorning the Jedi Wookiee's chest, and yes, he looks pretty dead.

We can see Kelnacca in flashbacks during the third episode Star Wars: The Acolyte. And it is possible that we will see him again in other glimpses of the past. But this the acolyte death still feels incredibly premature. After all the excitement to finally bring a Wookiee Jedi into live action, we really only see him alive for a scene or two. And we don't even get to see him in action. At least it would have been cool to see the Wookiee Jedi take on the Master in an epic lightsaber battle before meeting his demise. But instead, all we get is a sunken version of the Wookiee character, dead where he sits before we can find him in real time.

Perhaps there is still a chance that Kelnacca is not completely dead, but only partially dead. We'll have to wait for more episodes to see them. But the acolyte he actually killed Jedi Master Indara in his first episode. So it seems we have to believe that Kelnacca's death is also permanent. And that seems a great shame given the character's undoubtedly fascinating existence and history. After all, Wookie Jedi don't come around every day… Not in live action War of the galaxies exits, anyway. Maybe one day we'll get to visit Wookiee Jedi Master Kelnacca in a show of his own.
