Perhaps that's why the reality personality assumed that embracing a new decade would be a comparative breeze.

“At first I was like, 'Oh, this is cliche and stupid,'” she explained of the moment when the producers sat her down and were “like, 'Talk about your midlife crisis.' I said, 'I'm not in one, get me off.' And a few weeks later, I was like, “I'm there.”

Because if she's honest, she'd love a partner to dance with for the rest of her life.

“I don't want to reinforce stereotypes like, 'Oh, your life is over at 40,'” he noted. “But I'm having real feelings about being 40, single and childless.”

And with several of her close friends settling down, “I feel more alone,” she summed up. “And that's hard.”

After saying goodbye to her mysterious French boyfriend, she has gone out of her way to find new dating opportunities.

“I've definitely tried to be less isolated, do things that I enjoy and that bring a little bit of joy and obviously put you in positions where you can meet somebody,” he explained. “But in Greensboro, the election is so small it's tragic.”
