The holiday release schedule is changing again. evilthe long-awaited big screen adaptation of the hit Broadway musical, has moved up its release date five days, from November 27th to November 22nd. Deadline reports that the film will now arrive the weekend before the American Thanksgiving weekend, which changes a lot. the nature of their competition.
With the release date change, evil avoid Disney's animated sequel Moana 2but lands in the arena with Ridley Scottthe sword and sandal sequel Gladiator II. This could lead to another “Barbenheimer” scenario, in which Oppenheimeran R-rated, male-oriented historical film from an acclaimed director, faced off barbie, a film with a built-in female audience, and both won, resulting in huge box office dividends for both. Will this come to pass, resulting in box office glory for both films? Or the public will give the couple a “thumbs down”, pouring a glass of water over future plans for the launch of evilthe second installment? Also, will anyone come up with a combination title half as good as “Barbenheimer”?
What can audiences expect from Wicked and Gladiator II?

The musical itself is an adaptation of the 1995 novel by Gregory Maguirewhich in itself was a catch L. Frank Baumit's The Wizard of Oz. Follow the story of Elphaba (Cynthia Erivo), a green-skinned outcast with wicked witchcraft in his future, and his friend Galinda (Ariana Grande). Michelle Yeoh, Jeff Goldblumi Peter Dinklage also stars in the film, which is being split into two halves, with the second half expected to arrive in November 2025. Gladiator II is the long-awaited sequel to the year 2000 Russell Crowe Oscar winner gladiator. It is set decades after the original film; Lucius, the former heir to the empire, has grown up Paul Mescal. He has been living in exile, but fate comes calling as he is enslaved and forced into the gladiatorial arena. Joining him is a star-studded cast that includes Peter Pascal, Denzel Washingtoni Joseph Quinn.
Other films that may challenge the evil–gladiator due to box office supremacy this holiday season includes Robert Zemeckis' Tom Hanks/Robin Wright reunion Herethe A24 Hugh Grant horror hereticand the Christmas action comedy A Redall of which will be released the previous week.
