One of them, however, has been a notable absentee recently, com Jeremy Renner he has not appeared in the last two films. So where is William Brandt and will we see him again? In a recent interview with Collider's Cristina Ravefor the third season of Mayor of KingstownRenner expressed his openness to return to the mission impossible franchise Renner, who played Brandt Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol i Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nationshared fond memories of his time with the series and its all-star cast.


As Renner explains, his departure from the franchise was due to demanding filming schedules that conflicted with his responsibilities as a father. Still, he was effusive in his praise of the big cheese behind the series. He told Collider:

“Yeah. I had to leave that. I was supposed to do more with them. I love these guys. I love
tom [Cruise]

so much We had a lot of fun, and I really love this character. It requires a lot of time outside. It's all in London. He had to be a father. It wasn't going to work then.”

However, with his daughter growing up, Renner does not rule out a return to the world of espionage and the impressive stunts that define the mission impossible movies

“Maybe now that my daughter is older it might happen. I would always put myself in one mission impossible anytime and again to Brandt. It's great,” he said, reflecting on the potential to reprise his role as William Brandt, the character known for his mix of serious combat skills and a sharp sense of humor, which was once considered possible successor to Cruise's Ethan Hunt.

The possibility of Renner's return to the franchise could excite fans who appreciated his contribution to the previous films. His character brought a unique dynamic to the team, complementing Cruise's Ethan Hunt with a mix of tactical expertise and light-hearted banter. Renner's willingness to dive back into the role suggests that if the schedules line up, we could see William Brandt back in action. After all, with Come Rhames' Luther Stickell, no doubt, in age and Rebecca FergusonIlsa Faust is gone, the team is starting to feel a little light, so a return of Renner would be welcome.


How mission impossible continues to expand with more sequels in the works, Renner's inclusion could provide not only a nostalgic callback to previous installments, but a toe into the future while expanding the universe even further.
