Strongman Eddie Hall has revealed his interest in stepping into the cage for a potential epic showdown with Francis Ngannou.
Just recently, on April 26th at KSW 105, `The Beast` delivered a stunning performance, knocking out Mariusz Pudzianowski in the very first round.
Now, the victor of the 2017 World`s Strongest Man competition has admitted he would readily take a huge leap in competition level to face `The Predator`.
With his formidable punching power, the Englishman feels confident that landing a knockout blow against Ngannou is not an impossible feat.
Eddie Hall Discusses Potential Knockout Power Against Francis Ngannou
On paper, a matchup between Eddie Hall and Francis Ngannou doesn`t immediately appear competitive. Ngannou is renowned as one of the best heavyweights globally, while Hall has only one professional fight to his name.
However, according to tests conducted by the UFC`s PowerKube machine, Hall`s striking power is reportedly even greater than Ngannou`s. This immense power is what gives the strongman the belief that he possesses a small chance of causing a significant upset.
Speaking on Michael Bisping’s YouTube channel, Hall explained his perspective: “I got asked the question straight after I fought Mariusz, and I was like, `Look guys, don`t put my name in the same conversation as Francis Ngannou, that`s just ridiculous`.”
“But having thought about it, I`ve actually had a few nudges from some federations. Look, you put me in the ring with Francis Ngannou, with good training, don`t get me wrong, 95 times out of 100, Francis Ngannou wins that fight. But it`s that 5%, I`ve just got that knockout power.”
“He`s still a human being at the end of the day. If I get that on the end of your chin, you`re going to sleep. That`s why in my head I`m like, `Why not`?”
“If the money is right, the money has got to be right to risk your life, why wouldn`t I take that fight? I`ve got a small chance, and I`d take it.”
Deontay Wilder Also Discusses Potential Bouts Against Francis Ngannou
While a fight against Hall would certainly attract attention, Francis Ngannou has other potential opponents on the horizon.
Notably, Deontay Wilder has expressed enthusiasm for the opportunity to face the PFL Super Fights heavyweight champion.
A potential clash between them would pit possibly the two hardest hitters in combat sports history against each other in a battle that could end instantaneously.
Wilder recently provided an update on the status of discussions for both boxing and MMA bouts against Ngannou.
