In our top stories this morning, a grandfather allegedly killed by a gardener has been remembered for his love, dedication and devotion, and as the glue that held his family together. His family have issued a statement saying they will not be planning a funeral as his wife fights for her life in a Brisbane hospital.

Police have staged a re-enactment of the bus crash that killed 18-year-old Tia Cameron, recreating the bus turning from Ann Street to Edward Street as part of their investigation. Cameron died when she was hit by an out-of-control Brisbane City Council bus as she left a beauty salon on Edward Street in the Anzac Square building.

And in one of the biggest protests on the streets of Brisbane since the Black Lives Matter marches of 2020, around 3000 people protested the alleged murders of 33 women in domestic violence attacks in Australia since the start of the year.
