Huawei FreeBuds 6i With Dynamic ANC, IP54 Rating Unveiled: Features, Availability

The Huawei FreeBuds 6i were unveiled at a launch event in Dubai where the company also unveiled the Huawei MatePad 11.5 S, MateBook X Pro and Watch Fit 3. The true wireless earbuds support dynamic active noise cancellation (ANC) and offer an IP54 rating. . They are equipped with three microphones that are claimed to have a “50 percent higher signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) than the previous generation” of headphones. They are said to run on a Deep Neural Network (DNN) algorithm that helps differentiate between voices and noise for clearer calls.

The Huawei FreeBuds 6i come in three color options: black, purple, and white. The company is yet to confirm the price and availability details of the headset. According to official listings, they are expected to go on sale in select markets in the Middle East and Asia later this year.

The Huawei FreeBuds 6i are equipped with dynamic drivers of four 11 mm magnets and a system of three microphones. They come with Intelligent Dynamic ANC 3.0 which is said to help control and filter out distracting environmental noises.

The headphones feature simple touch controls to help users fine-tune their listening experience. They can press and hold the top stem of the Huawei FreeBuds 6i earphones to switch between ANC modes. Users can slide the stem up or down to increase or decrease the volume. They can double-tap to play and pause music or to answer and end a call. A three-tap command on the headphones will change the music to the next track.

In terms of battery life, the Huawei FreeBuds 6i charging case packs a 510mAh battery, while each earbud has a 55mAh battery. The case includes a USB Type-C port and the headphones offer Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity. The headphones are said to offer a total battery life of up to 35 hours with the charging case without ANC. With ANC enabled, they are said to offer up to 20 hours of total playback time.

The Huawei FreeBuds 6i are also IP54 rated for dust and splash resistance. They also support two device connectivity. The charging case weighs about 34g, while each earbud weighs about 5.4g.
