Chris Nash has been hailed for turning the slasher formula on its head, exploring the genre's tropes and tone through the eyes of its killer rather than its victims. The high praise has made it one of the year's most anticipated horror features for general audiences with all the hallmarks of a genre classic. Ahead of his arrival, a new trailer shares more of the villain's perspective and sheds light on the local legend surrounding him.

In a violent nature follows Johnny, a malevolent Jason Voorhees-like giant who is awakened from his eternal rest after a locket is snatched from the ruins of the fire tower where he died. He possesses an animalistic desire to kill and is spurred on by a 60-year-old crime that the trailer reflects on. As Johnny walks through the trees and finds a variety of traps and sharp weapons to capture the footage, an off-screen voice sternly warns someone to stay out of the woods for fear of an “animal” that might tear him apart. careless traps Another voice immediately starts asking his friends if they've heard of the White Pine Slaughter, probably the incident that made Johnny the restless and violent spirit that he is. The teenagers who didn't take the warning seriously soon become his latest targets as he tries to recover what they stole.

In front of Johnny, his victims appear as typical teenage slashers enjoying a good time in the woods until supernatural terror arrives to end the fun. The focus on the killer means the film can show the reverse of the haunting horror scenes, turning moments of the killer lurking off-screen into chilling voyeuristic shots of the friends in the distance as Johnny dives into a lake and waits for the moment to strike. . Through his eyes, the trailer shows the victims struggling to find a way to stop him, slowly realizing the supernatural rules that govern their stalker and trying to lure him into the open to finish him off with him. However, their stupid decisions often leave them running scared or brutally dead.
