McDonald's Drive-Thru is set to open at the Lincolnshire Showground this year
Jobs will be created this year with the new McDonalds at the Lincoln Showground
Following the news in Skegness, where the former Pizza Hut has become A McDonald's, Lincoln Showground will also welcome a McDonald's to be built this year.
The drive-thru McDonalds will form part of a petrol station at the Showground on the A15 just before the Tillbridge Lane roundabout.
West Lindsey District Council gave the go-ahead to the plans in late 2022. Although no official date has been given when the Showground McDonalds will open, it is believed to be completed by the end of the year.
Lincoln Show Ground McDonalds to create jobs
A McDonald's spokesman said: “We are excited to be opening a new restaurant in Lincolnshire later this year, bringing significant investment to the local area.” Lincolnshire Showground general manager Charlotte Powell says the new venue will “attract a wider audience to the area”.
He said: “Following the sale of a small area of land to a local developer, the Lincolnshire Agricultural Society is aware of the forthcoming development of a McDonald's drive-thru, as part of the petrol station next to the Lincolnshire Showground. The McDonald's drive-thru will provide a convenient dining option and attract a wider audience to the area.
“This development will bring convenience, economic growth and job opportunities to our community. We look forward to opening by the end of the year.”

It has not been highlighted how many people will work part-time and full-time at the Lincoln Showground McDonalds, but they have currently created more than 120,000 jobs in the UK.
The new McDonalds in Skegness which took over the Pizza Hut store already has 80 full and part time jobs. The new Lincoln Showground McDonalds is expected to employ more people.
