Meta is introducing a new set of artificial intelligence (AI) features for businesses to help them automate and improve the process of creating ad creatives. Meta's new AI features are powered by the second and third generation of its Large Language Model Meta AI (Llama AI) models and are designed to help its business customers easily promote products and services on Facebook and Instagram. These features are mainly focused on improving the imaging capabilities of your AI chatbot. Meta also said it is trying to improve text generation to help brands find the right tone to reflect the brands' message.

Announcing the features via a post in its business newsroom, Meta said: “Today, we're launching enhanced generative AI features for advertisers, such as full image and text generation, and introducing tools and additional services to help businesses like yours grow.” These new features include full image variations, text overlay, text prompts, and image magnification.

The full image variation feature will allow brands to give the chatbot a reference for image generation. They can be older creatives, product photos or any other brand image. There is an option to add a text prompt for variations, and based on the two inputs, the AI will create multiple variations of the original image.

Giving an example of the aforementioned feature, Meta said: “Imagine you're promoting your coffee bean business by advertising a steaming cup of coffee, our generative AI will be able to create other variations of your ad creative, including a landscape that It embodies a lush, idyllic farm setting, and also offers adjustments to your coffee cup to give you more creative options to choose from.”

Apart from this, text overlay will allow brands to generate images with text on top of them using AI. This text can be written by a human or ask the chatbot to generate it. Additionally, the text prompts feature will create a title and caption text for posts to reflect your brand message. While images with text overlays can be used in stories or reels, text prompts can help you write full posts.

Finally, a single generated image can also be scaled up to suit different publishing requirements. For example, an image generated for a Facebook post can be resized to fit Stories or Reels. The AI will not only adjust the dimensions, but also generate additional background or resize the product to fit the image size. Meta said these features will be available in the platform's Ads Manager through Advantage+ creative.
