RSL lawyer Nathan Ebbs said wa today The RSL hoped the matter would be resolved by mutual agreement, but that the organization would take it to trial if necessary.

The conflict between the two organizations began in February after allegations were made that Nollamara RSL was being run as a bicycle clubhouse with a shortage of waitresses.

The Veterans Motorcycle Club deny this and claim they are being used as a scapegoat for the problem as their building is next door to the RSL and many VMC members are also on the sub branch committee.

But VMC spokesman Peter Nicholls told this headline they were investigated by WA Police after the allegations were made and no criminal activity, drugs or illegal behavior was discovered.

“We're not bikes,” he said.

“We have friends who are, but we are not associated with them. We are a group that helps the community by collecting food and offering shelter to people in need.

“Taking care of our veterans is our priority and to be evicted from our clubhouse after 30 years is devastating.”

It comes after WA Police investigated claims RSL trespassed on VMC property and stole items belonging to the club, an investigation which is no longer active.

VMC claims the building has history and sentimental value to them.
