The first was a song by Adele songstress The second was “Songs That Make Me Wanna Dance.” With superstar ciara taking on the role of mentor, it was another night of excellent music from seven artists with big dreams of stardom. So who was left after the two drastic song choices? Well, America made its voice heard and it failed again. In complete surprise, McKenna Faith Breinholt i Julia Gagnon left the reality competition.

“Rolling in the Deep”
Taking Adele's classic hit “Rolling in the Deep,” Will Mosley he gave us a boost, like he was performing in the back of a smoky country bar. From a song selection perspective, there was no other Adele track that suited Will better. Will has a classic country voice. When it comes to Adele, there is a specificity to her voice. He has the ability to run. He has a way of keeping his words with ease. Will, not so much. It's not innate to country music. This caused him to stagger a bit at the end of his words. Will made the song work for him. it has worked As Luke joked, Will will tell his housemates that they made him sing Adele. Will did the best he could.
9 McKenna Faith Breinholt

In a round where songs that are supposed to make you want to dance, McKenna Faith Breinholt selected a Katy Perry song that might not be the most danceable song. Regardless, this was his chance to honor Katy for saving her the previous week. McKenna completely reinvented the song. He has a very solid voice for a song that is completely out of his wheelhouse. This is a pop song that was turned into a rock performance. McKenna proved he has the ability to rock. For McKenna, it still felt like a very safe performance despite the cool vibes and stage presence.

8 Will Mosley
“take me three steps”
The world of dance is wide. When it comes to music, dance doesn't have to be just pop music. So of course the country boy was going to go country. Fortunately, he explored the world of classic country rock. Taking “Give Me Three Steps” from Lynyrd Skynyrd, Will vocally calmed down. His voice fits the song perfectly. But it was a bit boring. He took about two steps when the song called for three. He was praised the previous week for his use of the whole scenario, so he tried to play that card again. This time, it had no impact. It lacked purpose. It looked like he was going through the motions because he was being advised. Will is a consistent player american idol. At this point, don't be surprised to see him in the finals.
7 Abi Carter
“I Know What You Did In The Dark (Light Em Up)”
What was a night of dancing slowly turned into the Night of 1000 rock songs. Abi Carter he went with a headbutt Fall Out Boy“I Know What You Did in the Dark (Light Em Up). The song is big. A little too big for it. Because it was based on heavy rock, there was an element of being dominated by the arrangement. The band. Abi knew she had lost her big high note. She handled it like a pro, although the snafu almost cost her the performance.
6 Julia Gagnon
“roam”
Julia Gagnonthe decision to choose “Roam” for The B-52s it was a wild choice. With so many other dance-based songs within The B-52s' songbook, “Roam” actually allowed him to soar vocally. Despite a pleasing voice and hitting her big notes, Julia wasn't comfortable with a movement-based performance. She tried to balance her vocal prowess with her desire to dance, and she looked uncomfortable. Unfortunately, his journey continues american idol is over, and if you had to identify where he faltered during his career, it was his inability to be a star on stage. But there is always room to grow.

5 Julia Gagnon
“We need fire in the rain”
This round was going to be easy for Julia Gagnon. I could have picked any of Adele's entire catalog and would have killed. And surprise, he did. Julia's rendition of “Set Fire the Rain” was perfect. He reversed the musicality of the song just to not be a replica of Adele's version. Julia was going to stand out in this category, so she lacked the surprise factor. He lacked star presence. But he easily has one of the greatest voices of recent times american idol memory
4 Jack Blocker
“one and only”
Maybe the threat of elimination lit up something inside Jack Blocker. Adele isn't known for a folk singer-songwriter aura, but Jack decided that wasn't a problem for him. It gave “One and Only” a doo-wop vibe. And it was great. Paired with a baby blue dress, what Jack exuded was nothing but soft and cool. There was magic in him. He proved again that he doesn't need a guitar to shine. Allowing himself to showcase his versatility as an artist, Jack's winning potential is on the rise now more than ever.
3 McKenna Faith Breinholt
“Make You Feel My Love”
written by Bob Dylanoriginally performed by Billy Joel, and back to Adele fame, McKenna Faith Breinholt was exemplary on “Make You Feel My Love.” It was almost like it was just for her. His performance was extraordinary. McKenna's performance was very much in her wheelhouse. Wearing a ripe emerald green dress, she looked and sounded like a star. He gave a pure and genuine performance. Her time on Idol might be over, but this is absolutely not the end for this future megastar.
2 Abi Carter
“Hello”
“Hello” is one of Adele's most successful songs. It's become a viral meme just because it's so iconic. Abi decided that this was Adele's hill where she was ready to die. For Abi, it was absolutely the right choice! Abi has exceptional rank. She has such a drastically different tone than Adele that she was able to take the track into her own world. When Abi didn't have the power that Adele has, she didn't try to do something she wouldn't be able to accomplish. He used the purity of his instrument in all the right ways. When Abi Carter sits behind the piano, she dazzles. This may have been his best performance of the season. This was an angelic performance.
1 Jack Blocker
“Long Tall Sally”
Dance and Jack Blocker don't seem like a likely pairing. For Jack, he said yes Little Richard that makes him dance And boy, has he moved and moved. Jack was in his pocket. His performance was extraordinary. It took him all season, but Jack Blocker has found himself. He knows how to perform on television's biggest stage. He stepped away enough to bring versatility to the stage, but retained his brilliant artistry. The boy who auditioned for the judges is not the man who appeared on that stage. Jack did a brilliant song selection and put on a performance that was funny as hell! This was his best performance of the entire season.
