The Garfield Movie has hit theaters to mixed reviews, however we at nerdy enjoyed enough. And that's good news because The Garfield Movie The post-credits scene teases, you guessed it, a sequel. This isn't necessarily spoilery, but look away if you don't want to know anything.

The Garfield Movie includes a lot of post-credits scenes and moments. At the beginning of the credits, The Garfield Movie cat and pet tribute videos. This is fair enough because the Garfield Franchise cat videos and YouTube videos seem to share a basic core. Once the credits roll, we can catch up on some of our favorite characters from the movie and what they're up to. We see Ethel and Otto live happily ever after. We hear a smashing song from badass cat Jynx, played by Hannah Waddingham and her lovable henchman. And of course we get more of Garfield and Odie.

But then, when the credits finally roll, The Garfield Movie comes out with his actual post-credits scene. The Garfield Movie ends with a cartoon of Garfield's own. The strip shows Garfield hooking up with the audience. “What are you still doing here?” The Garfield Movie asks the comedian. “Oh, I know. You're waiting for the sequel.” you got us

We love that The Garfield MovieThe post-credits scene is actually a post-credits comic strip. It's a fun homage to the franchise's roots. But yes The Garfield Movie do you need a sequel? This is a more complicated question. Still, with this post-credits sequel, we're betting he'll get one. At least the powers that be want us to start thinking about what's next. What if the sequel to the Garfield movie just took the form of shorts like a cat video? This could be fun. We'd also take an Obie-centric sequel. Guess one movie would never be enough to feed Garfield's appetite.
