TV

With over 30 movies and several TV series, the MCU is stacked with incredible actors playing iconic comic book characters. But more than a few have played more than one role in the same universe. O we should say multiverse now? And some of these multitaskers are pretty well-known names. We found several actors who have played more than one MCU role, or will soon. Although, we're not counting the likes of Chris Evans and Idris Elba, or even Oscar Isaac, who played Marvel characters in non-MCU films. Although later deadpool and wolverine, we have a feeling that some of the canonical MCU movies may change.

Linda Cardellini of Freaks and Geeks i dead to me played by Laura Barton (who may or may not be SHIELD operative Mockingbird). Avengers: Age of Ultron a hawk eye. But more recently, he broke our hearts as a anthropomorphic otter Lylla in Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 3. We're still a little traumatized from talking too much about Lylla, but Linda Cardellini is a national treasure.

Michelle Yeoh (Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 2, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings)

Marvel Studios

We first saw Oscar winner Michelle Yeoh in the MCU in a brief cameo as Alita Ogord, one of the Ravagers from the end of Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 2 (and a future 31st century guardian of comics). She had a much bigger role as Ying Nan, Shang-Chi's aunt Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. We got to see this screen icon return to either role in the future. She's Michelle Yeoh, we say let her play whatever she wants, whenever she wants.

Alfred Woodard (Captain America: Civil War, Luke Cage)

Oscar-nominated actress Alfre Woodard had a rather prominent role Luke Cage like Mariah Dillard, the cousin of Mahershala Ali's Cottonmouth. However, she first appeared in a small role, as the grieving mother of a son who died in Sokovia, who confronts Tony Stark in Captain America: Civil War.

Clancy Brown (Daredevil, The Punisher, Thor: Ragnarok)

The great Clancy Brown, who famously voiced Lex Luthor for Marvel's “Distinguished Competition” in the 90s. Superman animated series, he voiced the fire giant Surtur Thor: Ragnarok. But he also played Colonel Ray Schoonover, aka the Blacksmith, both on Netflix reckless i the punisher series He's very good at playing a relentlessly slick guy. And he has a fantastic speaking voice. In fact, we wish he had a third role. We just want to hear him say mean things in that distinctive voice.

Gemma Chan (Captain Marvel, Eternals)

Gemma Chan first appeared in the MCU as Minn-Erva Captain Marvel, the blue-skinned alien soldier who was part of the Kree Starforce. But just a few years later, Gemma Chan would maintain her natural, earth-born tone and play Sersi eternal. The latter character is more likely to reappear than the former.

Kenneth Choi (Captain America: The First Avenger, Spider-Man: Homecoming)

Kenneth Choi first appeared in 2011 Captain America: The First Avenger as Private Jim Morita, one of Cape's Howling Commandos during World War II. Six years later, it appeared in Spider-Man: homecoming, as the principal of Peter Parker's high school. The production tied these characters together, making Principal Morita the grandson of Private Morita. There are even pictures of him as his own grandfather in his office.

Patton Oswalt (Agents of SHIELD, Eternals)

These actors have played various MCU_1 roles
Marvel Studios

Patton Oswalt is a huge comic book nerd in real life, so it's no wonder he's played a couple of MCU roles. He portrayed several characters called “the Koenigs”, who were all identical to each other, a Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D Then he introduced himself in a post-credits cameo as Pip the Troll eternal, alongside Harry Styles' Starfox. Let's just hope the CGI on Pip is a little more convincing next time.

Tsai Chi (Agents of SHIELD, Shang-Chi and Legend of the Ten Rings)

Actress Tsai-Chi in Agents of SHIELD and Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.
Marvel Studios

Actress Tsai Chi first appeared in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. playing Agent Melinda May's mother, Lian May. She was a retired police officer herself, who had a somewhat complicated relationship with her daughter. She played a completely different kind of matriarch Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. In that film, she played Katy's grandmother (Awkwafina), who didn't look like she could hurt a fly.

Benedict Cumberbatch (Doctor Strange)

Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange and Dormammu.
Marvel Studios

Benedict Cumberbatch is our Sorcerer Supreme (or was, until Wong took over later infinite war). But in his first Doctor Strange film, he also played the fearsome Lord Dormammu of the Dark Dimension, so he faced off against himself in the film's climax. Does this mean Strange and Dormammu? they are somehow related? Okay, probably not. It was more likely that Cumberbatch wanted to be both hero and villain in the climactic showdown. But it's a fun fact that most viewers never noticed.

Laura Haddock (Captain America: The First Avenger, Guardians of the Galaxy, Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 2)

Laura Haddock in Captain America: The First Avenger, and as Peter Quill's mother in Guardians of the Galaxy.
Marvel Studios

Actress Laura Haddock had a brief cameo as a lovelorn autograph seeker Captain America: The First Avenger. He cornered Cap at the USO show, and the two glared at each other. In 2014 Guardians of the Galaxy, played Star-Lord's dying mother. He later reprized the role in a flashback Flight. 2. Even though his first appearance was barely a cameo, we're including him because of that lends credence to the fan theory that autograph lady was actually Star-Lord's grandmother, and his grandfather could have been Steve Rogers! It would surely explain how Peter Quill was the only son of Ego to survive. A little good old super soldering genes might have helped.

Now, it should Deadpool and Wolverine officially canonize pre-MCU Marvel movies? Then this whole list will be there a lot longer We'll just have to wait and see how far the Marvel Multiverse expands at the end of Phase Six.
