Two dead in unrelated incidents

A teenager and a man in his 20s have been stabbed to death in unrelated incidents as a spate of knife crime continues across NSW.

A 16-year-old boy was stabbed in the neck at a house on Nymagee Street in Narromine, west of Dubbo in NSW's Western Plains region, about 9pm on Friday.

He was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to Dubbo Regional Airport, where he died.

A 26-year-old man was arrested at a nearby home and taken to Dubbo Police Station where he is assisting police with their enquiries.

In another incident on Friday evening, a man died after being stabbed in Quakers Hill, in Sydney's north-west.

Emergency services were called to Avinguda Narcís shortly before 8:30 p.m. following reports of a stabbing.

Officers from the Riverstone Police Area Command arrived to find a 28-year-old man suffering from stab wounds to the chest.

He was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to hospital in critical condition. The man died on the way to the hospital.

Police have established crime scenes and detectives have launched investigations into both incidents.
