The Addams Family is about to get a whole lot bigger. It's also bringing back one of its most famous and beloved alumni. To celebrate the start of production Wednesday second season, Netflix shared the many new cast members who joined the show during its sophomore outing. The roster of regulars and guest stars includes a familiar face from the franchise's past. Uncle Fester himself, Christopher Lloyd, is back for more weird, weird and creepy fun.

Jenna Ortega's macabre master of immortality is finally back to work on his hit series. And she brings a lot of friends with her Wednesdayis set in Ireland. That's where the cast had their first table read before filming began on the second season of the popular Netflix series. She and her fellow first-season co-stars Catherine Zeta-Jones, Luis Guzmán, Isaac Ordonez, and Luyanda Unati Lewis-Nyawo (all seasoned series regulars) have plenty of newcomers with them.

Netflix announced that Billie Piper, Evie Templeton, Owen Painter and Noah Taylor have also joined the show as full-time cast members. Piper will play a character named Capri. The streamer Steve Buscemi also confirmed earlier reports has signed on for a major role as Barry Dort. (She's expected to play the new beginning of Nevermore Academy, but it might be someone else.) The newbies will join Emma Myers, Joy Sunday, Hunter Doohan, Victor Dorobantu, Moosa Mostafa and Isaac Ordonez on the series.

The second season will also feature a litany of guest stars headlined by Lloyd. He played Uncle Fester on the big screen in 1991 and 1993 addams family quotas (The show's own Fester, Fred Armisen, will also appear.) Joanna Lumley, Frances O'Connor, Haley Joel Osment, Heather Matarazzo, and Joonas Suotamo will also appear during the second season as guests. Lumley will play the grandmother, a character we expected to see this season Netflix also confirmed that Thandiwe Newton will round out the list of guest stars as someone named Dr. Fairburn. Now he looks like a leader of Nevermore Academy.

We also found out in the video above that the first episode is titled “Here we go again to grieve.” It's nice to see that the episodes still honor this sad kid.

“We're thrilled to have the entire Addams family enroll in Nevermore Academy this season along with a dream cast of icons and new faces,” creators, writers and showrunners Al Gough and Miles Millar said in a press release.

We are happy with all these people signing up. But obviously we're especially excited about a new/old member. Historically, addams family stories with Christopher Lloyd are always great.
