Netflix has released the trailer for the new Swedish coming-of-age drama. a part of youstarring Maxime, Edwin Rydingi Zara Larsson in the main roles. The trailer comes ahead of the film's May 31 world premiere.
The trailer, from its beginning, shows a beautiful family bond between the sisters, Agnes and Julia (Larsson). Júlia is the eldest of the couple and has everything her younger sister could wish for. Heading opposite sides of the spectrum of what it means to have a “perfect teenage life”, tragedy soon strikes and sees Agnes and Julia separated. In her attempt to process her pain, Agnes becomes another person: she becomes Julia. Now, he's about to have and be everything he's ever wanted. But what has it taken to get this far? The film's official synopsis describes it as a “life and death story that portrays the experience of being 17 years old and feeling like your heart is about to burst out of your chest.”
Production on the film began a year ago in Stockholm, Sweden, marking another collaboration between Maxime and his co-star, Ryding. By that time, production had begun a part of youMaxime and Ryding had collaborated on two previous Netflix projects, The Chasm i Young Royals. The Netflix series dropped the first five episodes of its third and final season on March 11, and the series finale will be released on Netflix on March 18, a week later.
Who is behind “A Part of You”?
Netflix's latest teen drama, is directed and produced by Sigge Eklundwith a part of you marking his directorial debut. Eklund veers the film's course from a script by Michaela Hamilton (eagles). Tim King serves as an executive producer on the project while Stefan H. Linden i Alexandra Thönnersten will produce Alongside the aforementioned names of Maxime, Ryding and Larsson, A Part of You also stars Ida Engvoll (Love and Anarchy), Mustafa Al-Mashhadani (Thin blue line), Alva Bratt (Barracuda Queens), Emil Hedayat, Olivia Essén, Nikki Hanseblad among others.
