With the premiere just a week away, AMC unveiled a new clip for the Anne Rice's Interview with the Vampire Season 2. The timeless saga unfolds with Louis de Pointe du Lac (Jacob Anderson), the main vampire, continuing his interview with journalist Daniel Molloy (Eric Bogosian). As Louis tries to piece together his story, the worried vampire insists on getting every detail right.


The clip cuts to a scene at the Théâtre des Vampires. Despite the cheers of the crowd, Louis and Claudia (Delainey Hayles) looks shocked at a startling revelation. With memories of Louis' late lover, Lestat de Lioncourt (Sam Reid) resurgent, and the imminent presence of her current lover, the vampire Armand (Assad Zaman), Louis continues to be haunted by his past.


What's Interview With The Vampire Season 2 About?

2nd season of Interview with the vampirepicks up immediately after the events of the first season. Although the season finale showed Lestat's gruesome death, Louis' memory of what actually happened might be blurry. Season 2 also delves into Lestat's origin story at the Theater de Vampires, returning audiences to 1700s Paris. However, Lestat remains a central figure in the upcoming season, with his presumed death weighing heavily on Louis' shoulders. The second season also explores more of Armand's real identity. First introduced as Louis' assistant named Rashid, Rashid is later revealed to be a young vampire who may possibly have his own intentions for Louis.

A modern retelling of the 1976 novel, Season 1 first introduced audiences to Louis de Pointe du Lac, who recounts his life as an affluent black man in 1910s New Orleans. His story takes a dramatic twist when she befriends and falls in love with a mysterious vampire, Lestat de Lioncourt. Throughout Season 1, audiences witnessed the ups and downs of their tumultuous relationship, from Louis' transformation into a vampire at the hands of Lestat to saving teenage Claudia, whose presence only provoked more trouble for Louis and Lestat's romance.


Viewers may notice some casting change in Season 2. The role of Clàudia, originally played by Bailey Bass, has been recast with Hayles. The actress previously appeared on the BBC Holby town. Season 2 also joins a new face, Ben Daniels, who will play the main antagonist at the Théâtre des Vampires. Daniels is best known for his roles in The Crown i Jupiter's Legacy. They also appear in recurring roles David Costabile, Roxane Durani Bally Gill.
