The incident happened in the early hours of Sunday, October 22, when emergency services were called to Haven Craig Tara Caravan Park. Reports indicated that the one-year-old girl had fallen ill, prompting immediate action.
The baby was rushed to Ayr University Hospital but, despite the best efforts of medical professionals, tragically died. The baby's identity has not been released at this time and police are treating the death as unexplained.
