Pee-wee Herman in CYBERPUNK 2077 Somehow Just Works

TV

It's been almost a year since we lost Paul Reubens, the actor who brought the iconic Pee-wee Herman to life. But fans have made sure Pee-wee's memory lives on, finding ways to keep him alive in memes and tribute videos. Thanks to the people of laughing squid, we learned about a YouTuber called eli_handle_b․wav. They have edited scenes from the game Cyberpunk 2077 and included Pee-wee from his film debut in Pee-wee's Big Adventure. Whether it's Night City, California or a 1980s strip mall, one truth remains: Just don't separate a kid from his bike. There are consequences.

Pee-wee always tried to look like a tough guy in Tim Burton's classic 1985 film. So in a way it fits perfectly into the dystopian future world of Cyberpunk 2077. After all, this is the same Pee-wee who joined the Satan's Helpers biker gang by donning an unforgettable dance bib. The same Pee-wee who said, “I'm a loner, Dottie. A rebel.” Okay, maybe her wardrobe is off, but nobody's perfect. This is not the first time that eli_handle_b․wav has mixed classic comedy with video games. On their channel, they have videos showing Shrek Fallout 4, and Austin Powers a Massive effect. They even had Ace Ventura, too Cyberpunk 2077.

Pee-wee somehow has a way of appearing in other movies that he wasn't originally in. Well, in fan made videos anyway. Some of our favorites include weather he was inside Jurassic Parkor when he took the place of Kylo Ren a War of the galaxies. We don't think anyone put Pee-wee on board the Titanic not yet, but we think it's only a matter of time. But especially now that he's gone, we appreciate seeing that face and hearing that signature laugh anywhere.
